On 31 March 2026, Defence Construction Canada (DCC) has issued notice to proceed for construction works pursuant to the design-and-build contract between DCC and PS MB.MEE, part of AS Merko Ehitus group. The contract entails construction of defence campus with permanent accommodations buildings and real-life support area infrastructure in two locations in Latvia.
The contract value is approximately EUR 30 million, plus value added tax. Construction works are scheduled to be completed in Q3 2027.
PS MB.MEE is a joint venture established by SIA Merko Būve as a managing partner and AS Merko Ehitus Eesti, both fully owned subsidiaries of AS Merko Ehitus group.
SIA Merko Būve is a Latvian construction company, which offers construction services in the fields of general construction, civil engineering and residential construction.
